Lehman-Jackson Elementary PTO (“LJE PTO,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the website lje-pto.com (the “Site”).

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Information We Collect

• Contact information you provide: When you fill out a form on our Site (such as our contact form, volunteer interest form, or committee sign-up forms), we may collect your name, email address, phone number, and any other information you choose to include.

• Newsletter sign-up: If you subscribe to our email newsletter, we collect your email address (and name, if provided) to send you PTO updates.

• Information about your child: Some of our forms (e.g., volunteer and committee sign-up) may ask for your child's name or grade so we can coordinate school-related activities. This information is provided by you, the parent or guardian, and is used solely for PTO administrative purposes — it is never shared or sold.

• Donation and membership information: When you make a donation or purchase a PTO membership, that transaction is processed by Zeffy, a third-party payment platform. We do not collect or store your payment card details; Zeffy's own Privacy Policy governs how it handles that information.

• Automatically collected information: Our Site is hosted on Wix, which collects standard site analytics (e.g., pages visited, general location, device type) through its built-in tools. See Wix's Privacy Policy for details on how Wix handles this data. We do not use additional tracking tools such as Google Analytics or advertising pixels.

 

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Respond to your questions or requests

• Send you our newsletter and PTO announcements (only if you've subscribed)

• Coordinate volunteer opportunities and committee involvement

• Process membership and donation records (via Zeffy)

• Maintain accurate PTO board and committee records

3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may share information with:

• Zeffy, to process donations and memberships

• Wix, our website and email hosting provider, which processes data on our behalf to operate the Site

• PTO board members and committee chairs directly involved in the activity you signed up for

We do not share your information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

 

4. Children's Privacy
Our Site is intended for use by parents, guardians, and PTO members — not children. We do not knowingly collect
personal information directly from children under 13. Where our forms ask for a child's name or grade, that
information is submitted by a parent or guardian for the limited purpose of coordinating school PTO activities.

5. Your Choices
You can unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email we send.
You can request that we update or delete information you've submitted by emailing us at lehmanjacksonptoboard@gmail.com. 

6. Data Retention
We retain the information you provide for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, or until you ask us to delete it.

7. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect the information you share with us, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Effective Date” above reflects the most recent update.
